Sequencing of proteins, antibodies and peptides is an important part of detailed sequence analysis. The analysis provided by Alphalyse is based on the original Edman degradation and high-resolution mass spectrometry technology.
The N-terminal Edman degradation analysis provides up to 40 amino acid residues from the N-terminal without any prior knowledge about the protein sequence. The MS technology is mainly used as part of peptide mapping to search specific protein databases but can also be performed without sequence information (de-novo sequencing).
You can choose and combine your preferred package from the following services:
- N-terminal Edman degradation >
We determine up to 40 amino acids from the N-terminal of your protein or peptide.
- Peptide mapping against sequence >
We compare the sequence of your protein to the theoretical sequence by trypsin digest and subsequently MALDI-MS or LC-MS/MS analysis.
- N- and C-terminal sequencing >
We determine of up to 80 N- and C-terminal amino acids in your drug substance protein by MALDI-ISD (Top-down sequencing).
- De-novo sequencing of mAb >
We determine the exact amino acid sequence of your monoclonal antibodies by de-novo sequencing.
